Our Story

St. Andrew’s Academy Kisoro began in 2005 and has since become part of the Kisoro school community. The academy provides secondary education for girls and boys, supporting learners through the important years between primary school and further study or other opportunities.

The school’s location in Kisoro gives it a strong connection to the families and communities it serves. As it looks ahead, the academy aims to help learners grow in knowledge, responsibility and confidence.

Our Approach

We believe education should help young people understand what they learn and use it well. Our approach encourages learners to take their studies seriously, respect others, participate in school life and keep developing their abilities.

At St. Andrew’s Academy Kisoro, girls and boys learn alongside one another as part of a shared school community. Everyday school life provides opportunities to practise respect, responsibility and cooperation.

A student’s experience includes friendships, shared responsibilities and the opportunity to participate in activities beyond lessons. School life can help young people build confidence, learn to work with others and discover interests that stay with them beyond secondary school.

What We Believe About Education

Good education should strengthen the learner intellectually, morally, socially, spiritually and physically.
